New User Interface

For a long time we have had different user interfaces on different platforms. This release consolidates the User Interface to be common across all platforms that we support. This means that you will have a consistent experience no matter which platform you use. You can now use the same features on all platforms. The platforms supported are Web (at https://mywaterhero.net), Android, and iOS.

Flow Over Time

This release makes Flow over Time universally available. You can set these on the Device Settings page.

You can now monitor your water for leaks in one of 2 ways, either by the volume of water that has flowed, or by the volume of water that has flowed over a period of time. Here is a description of how each of these works:

• Volume of water - The original methodology Water Hero employs is to measure the amount of water that flows in any single "event." These events are any time water is flowing. An event ends when the water stops flowing for more than 15 seconds. You measure this type of volume in gallons or liters.



• Flow Over Time - This methodology measures the volume of water that has flowed over a period of time. This can be used to measure small or widely spaced events. For example, you could set an away mode that would trigger a warning or alert if there is more than 1 gallon of flow in any 5 minute period. As soon as a flow of water exceeds the volume set in the amount of time indicated, warnings and alerts will be sent. This feature provides a much finer granularity for monitoring events. You can even use it to exclude appliances in your home such as your ice maker or dishwasher.

Improved Data Visualization

Every page in the Water Hero app has been retooled to more accommodate the way our customers view their water. We've integrated new graphical features to help you visualize your data more effectively.

The list of user devices has been updated to include more information. The entry for a device looks like this:

Concise and clean data graphs make understanding your water usage quick and easy. Both daily and hourly graphs are available.

Modern design with an easy to use interface

The new Water Hero interface is designed to be modern and easy to use. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. With things in the places you think they should be.


Icons are clean and simple and always located in the same place on the screen.

Additional Features

We've made significant under-the-hood improvements to boost the overall performance and stability of the software. Expect faster load times and smoother operation. We've updated the system from one end to the other to make things work together seamlessly.

These changes, although hard to see from the surface, will make your Water Hero experience more reliable and efficient.
